In partnership with Invest Nova Scotia, Lockheed Martin Canada is reinforcing its long-standing commitment to the province, committing to add up to $126 million in salaries and benefits to the local economy and up to 320 highly skilled jobs in the next five years. These jobs are in addition to the current Halifax-area workforce of over 500 employees.
This expansion is supported by growing global demand for Lockheed Martin Canada’s Canadian-made Combat Management System, CMS 330, particularly the recent selection by the German Navy for integration across its surface fleet. As the program advances, it will support long-term direct, indirect and supply chain jobs in Nova Scotia and across Canada.
A long-standing contributor to Canada’s defense and industrial base, Lockheed Martin Canada has helped translate Nova Scotia’s Defence expertise into measurable economic impact for the province. Over the last five years, an average of 941 jobs were supported each year, adding $736 million in total value to the provincial economy, generating $478 million in labor income and supporting $118 million in government revenue.
This effort with Invest Nova Scotia reaffirms Lockheed Martin Canada’s commitment to retain and grow high-value jobs, supporting economic resilience and sovereign defense capabilities in the province.
