Please sign our petition and help cadets, veterans, the Naval Museum of Alberta and Royal Canadian Navy training and recruiting (use link below).

The Naval Museum of Alberta Society owns and operates a building on leased Dept of National Defence land. The lease is up in 2028 and DND will not renew. They will not tell us their plans, they will not even respond to our inquiries.

Unless we can change DND’s mind, the Society will no longer be able to build museum exhibits and will lose much of its fundraising abilities, three cadet corps will be evicted and HMCS Tecumseh will lose use of RCSCC Undaunted’s amazing bridge simulator.

This move will increase DND costs, eliminate significant support for one of the best DND museums, hurt CAF training and recruiting and force three cadet corps to relocate. It makes no sense.

Our petition simply asks the Minister of National Defence to work with us to find an approach that doesn’t cause so much damage.
