Over 4,500 Canadian Armed Forces personnel served in the 1990–91 Persian Gulf War. We carried out dangerous missions — from clearing mines and explosive ordnance to working in toxic environments, under extreme stress, and often without recognition.
Today, many of us suffer from Gulf War Illness, PTSD, chronic pain, and other serious health issues. But when we ask for help, we face:
❌ Denied disability claims
❌ Dismissed House Committee reports (ACVA Report 18)
❌ Unfulfilled election promises
❌ Silence from DND and the Prime Minister’s Office
❌ A medal we can’t even wear — The Kuwait Liberation Medal, gazetted but still not approved for wear
We are not looking for charity — we’re demanding the recognition, health support, and justice owed to us.
In 2026, we will mark 35 years since the ceasefire and we are still fighting, it didn’t take our Korean Brother and sister this long.
We served when Canada called. Now we’re asking:
👉 Where is Canada for us?
If you’re a journalist, policymaker, or supporter — we invite you to stand with us.
