Jim Girard, President and CEO, OSI presents Laurie Sweet, Director Finance & Administration, Wounded Warriors Canada, with OSI-Employee donation

OSI Maritime Systems (OSI) is pleased to announce an employee donation to Wounded Warriors Canada (WWC). The donation is part of OSI’s annual fundraising campaign in which the Company matches employee-raised funds.

WWC is a national organization focused on supporting trauma-exposed individuals and families, particularly those in high-risk professions such as the Canadian Armed Forces, police, firefighters, paramedics, and other public safety personnel. WWC offers culturally-informed services that combine education, counseling, and training to help individuals and families recover from post-trauma injuries like PTSD, and build long-term resiliency. Their programs focus on both recovery and resiliency, with specific initiatives such as group-based trauma resiliency programs, PTSD service dog support, and family-focused resources like the “Surviving Family Program” and “Warrior Kids Camp.” Additionally, WWC provides workplace resiliency training and peer support programs to foster a supportive environment for trauma-exposed professionals.

OSI is a leading Integrated Navigation and Tactical Solutions provider to Allied and NATO navies. As such, the company understands the importance of naval defence and equally the importance of those who serve and have served. Many of OSI’s employees are veterans, who account for approximately 10 percent of the employee base, and through them, we understand the importance of the work done by WWC.
