Canada has visions and priorities — but no true national defence playbook. Since 1946, no Minister of National Defence has produced an operational concept for the defence of Canada. What’s missing is a national security policy, a grand strategy to implement it, and a National Security Council to oversee it.
RAUSI’s Rocky Mountain Conference on Security and Defence (RMCSD) continues with another timely Fireside Chat, “Canada’s Missing Playbook.” It’s a unique opportunity to not only hear directly from two distinguished voices, but to ask your own questions during the live Q&A.
🎙 Vincent Rigby — former National Security and Intelligence Advisor to the Prime Minister of Canada, now Professor of Practice at McGill University and Senior Fellow at CSIS.
🎙 Brigadier-General Richard Tod Strickland, CD (Ret’d) — former Commandant of the Canadian Forces College and Director of Land Requirements at National Defence Headquarters.
