Departing from Ponta Delgada after an operational release, the high seas patrol vessel (PHM) Premier-Maitre L’Her carried out exercises with the Portuguese patrol vessel Figueira da Foz . This joint sequence was an opportunity to develop interoperability between the French and Portuguese navies by carrying out tactical evolution maneuvers and presentations for replenishment at sea.
The vessel is now patrolling towards the American continent, adapting its route to the difficult climatic conditions encountered in the North Atlantic at this time of year.
The crew of Premier-Maitre L’Her is also taking advantage of this long crossing to develop her resilience, by practicing, among other things, astronomical navigation and by preparing the ship and its crew for future navigations in cold waters.
